Tenants move into mouse-infected unit!

In a recent RTB dispute, a tenant moved into a unit that was described as “brand new” and “modern”. They soon realized that it was infected with mice and moved out before their contract was up. The landlord filed a dispute with the RTB claiming that the tenant had breached the contract. The RTB found that it was unreasonable for the renters to continue their tenancy to the end of the lease due to the state of the rental unit.
